PRP / Plasma Therapy
For selected persistent tendon or joint problems that keep returning after the initial injury or repeated physical load — particularly when symptoms have become chronic and an injection-based biological treatment is being considered rather than immediate pain blocking.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is prepared from a sample of your own blood. The sample is centrifuged to separate and concentrate the platelet-containing component, which is then injected into the selected treatment area.
Platelets contain biologically active proteins and growth factors involved in tissue repair and remodelling. PRP is therefore different from a local anesthetic injection: its purpose is not to numb pain immediately.
At our center, the selected target can be visualized with ultrasound during ultrasound-guided injection, allowing needle placement to be monitored in real time. Temporary soreness after the procedure can occur, and any clinical effect develops gradually rather than immediately.
